Negative Concept was born in November 2015 in the southern suburbs of Paris from the project of Cédric M. vocals and guitar. The band takes shape with the arrival of Johan C. on drums and Romain P. on guitar at the end of 2019 to deliver a first concert in early 2020 as a trio. Equal parts Brandt Bjork and Pentagram. Long songs with a desert/stoner flow coupled to crunchy riffs and mid-range vocals that are more rhythmic than melodic. Everything is rooted in bluesy doom and it all seems so logical, but I don’t think it’s ever been done quite like this. Killer album.
